When questioned about the Ukraine crisis and its mention in the G20 Declaration, President Macron clarified that the G20 primarily serves as an economic platform and is not geared towards discussing political matters. He acknowledged that while the majority of G20 nations had condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Summit should not become mired in this single issue.

Macron highlighted that the Summit Declaration emphasized the importance of upholding principles related to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, while also signaling the G20’s commitment to achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, according to PTI. He further voiced support for reforms in international institutions to better reflect the contemporary realities of the world. (USnewsSphere)
